Cast your mind back to the cold, dark days of December. We filled an empty shop in Redcliffe with wonderful sounds, words and images that explored how Bristol is changing as part of a new residency called Confluence.

We’ve been working with artist Rachael Clerke to write a new environmental policy for MAYK, which we’ve just published on our website. The policy articulates the steps we’re taking to reduce our impact and reliance on carbon-emitting activities, and how we’re thinking about the climate crisis in relation to our programme.

Mayfest is looking for people who love to sing to be part of a show in this year’s festival.

PASSING is the upcoming short film from Jo Bannon which invites us to pay attention to the barely visible but highly choreographed ways in which we all perform, or pass, on stage and in everyday life.

We are, as ever, excited and proud to be welcoming this heart-filling gathering of artists from all over the world for what we hope will be a connecting and inspiring time for everyone who chooses to come together over nine days this May.

Do you need to rest throughout the day? Do you have a story to share about resting in public? Commissioned by WDR, we are gathering stories from German speakers based in Europe, to feature in a radio play which will be broadcast in Autumn 2024.

The Emergent Value research project is trying to find out why, and how, live arts events (such as theatre or music performances) are meaningful to people.
