Join MAYK and Bricks for Demostage
Demostage is back. This time we’re joining forces with our friends at Bricks for an evening event at our home in St Anne’s House (map) on Wednesday 7th December.
If you’re already familiar with the format then you can submit your idea here or if you want to come along as part of the audience, book your free space here.
If you’re new to Demostage then read on for an explainer.
What is Demostage?
Demostage is an informal, temporary space for new ideas. Open to people who make creative projects of any kind (think theatre, music, games, sound, whatever), the event encourages collaboration, sharing and critical discourse.
Presenters have five minutes to present their idea to the room, followed by five minutes for us all to offer thoughts, feedback and ideas.
Demostage is free to attend. We’ll be running a bar during the event.
Why should I attend?
For audiences, Demostage is an opportunity to get a unique insight into how new creative ideas grow and to help artists make connections and develop their projects. For artists, Demostage is a lightly-held, fun, and informal space to help you get unstuck, make progress and share your ideas with an audience.
How can I take part?
Fill out this form and include a short paragraph, video, or audio recording about the idea you wish to present.
If you’d like to attend Demostage but don’t wish to present and idea, that’s fine too – just book a free ticket at this link.

This event will be BSL-interpreted by Lynne Bateman.
